Ax ExMo is a short term campaign. The
next phase will focus on reducing market demand. There are
alternatives we will present when we have an impact on the
demise of ExxonMobil. |
The Ax Center boycotts now adds Ax ExMO. It is time we
unite America to fight the ever increasing cost of gasoline that
has an impact on every driver in the United States. While
drivers have been painfully paying up at the pump, oil companies
have been racking up eye-popping profits.
Thursday, ExxonMobil became the most stark example yet of how
much big oil companies benefited from the huge run-up in oil
prices during the third quarter even as two major hurricanes
ripped through the industry's Gulf Coast infrastructure. Exxon
reported:
• Net
income up 75% to $9.92 billion. That is the most a U.S. company
has earned from operations in a three-month period and greater
than the annual gross domestic product of entire nations
including Cameroon and Zimbabwe.
•
Revenue up 32% to $100.7 billion. That is greater than the
annual GDP of all but just 38 of the world's economies.
Exxon
illustrates the energy's sector's tremendous profit amid
record-high energy prices. The industry is on pace to earn $96
billion this year — more than what the USA's industrial and
telecom companies will earn, combined, says Standard & Poor's
based on members of the S&P 500 index.
The Ax
Exxon Mobil boycott began April 22. Spread the word
for everyone in the United States to not buy gas from Exxon
Mobil. Next week we will buy national media press releases
to get the word out. You can start today by emailing
everyone in your address book AX EXMO.
If
everyone boycotts Exxon Mobil, their obscene profits will go
to zero sending a message to all other fuel companies they
may be next. We can not depend on Washington to do anything.
They will just hold hearings and all of us know they are
useless.
As for
the White House, no help there because we all know they are
in bed with the oil companies. It is up to us. Get the
message out: Ax ExMO.
